Installation

Before installation you must read the system requirements. If you are happy you meet the requirements, then go to the following locations and click 'Install'.

The method below is not as elegant as the one for installing "ClickOnce" Windows applications. Microsoft only give us this method to install "ClickOnce" Office applications. Sorry.

Installing a “ClickOnce” Office Addin program from Suddensource you will first go to a web server "browse" windows:

Click on "Setup.exe" and you will see:

Click 'Run: and you will see:

Click 'Actions' and you will see:

Click 'More Options' and you will see:

Our code signing certificate can be seen by clicking on the name 'Suddensource Ltd'. If you are still not convinced that the installer is genuine, and you are downloading from 'http://apps.suddensource.com', then contact us.

Click on 'Run Anyway'.

Accept any/all licence agreements and install as necessary:

1. Microsoft Dot Net 4.0 Client Profile
2. Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Report Viewer
3. Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime

Again, our code signing certificate can be seen by clicking on the name 'Suddensource Ltd'. If you are still not convinced that the installer is genuine, and you are downloading from 'http://apps.suddensource.com', then contact us. Otherwise clicking 'Install' will install the program, provided you meet the general system requirements.

If you get any errors, see 'Known Issues' at the bottom of this page.

Click 'Install' and finally, you will see:

Once this is complete, the addin will load when you next start Excel, and will update itself (silently) every time we publish an update. Currently this program is programmed to check for updates every 7 days.

Uninstalling

ClickOnce applications can be uninstalled from Control panel. The uninistall options will look like this:

If you receive this message:

Then you need to:

• Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0\
• Rename the file VSTOInstaller.exe.Config to zVSTOInstaller.exe.Config
• Try installing our product again
• Rename the file zVSTOInstaller.exe.Config to VSTOInstaller.exe.Config
